Sticking to the basics
Solving the purpose should be the priority while designing anything with a mix of how efficiently and conveniently it solves the purpose.
Don Norman coined the term “user experience” in the 1990s — but UX predates its name by quite some centuries. The origins of UX can also be traced right back to Ancient Greece. In the 5th century BC, Greek civilizations designed their tools and workplaces based on ergonomics.
For example, the widely famous Stonehenge is built from a mix of large sarsen stone and the largest sarsen stone, believed to be from Marlborough Downs about 20 miles from the site & weighs about 30 tons so imagine how it would have been executed without CRANES because definitely, this can’t be done by Human Muscle Power. Sounds a lot like UX, doesn’t it?

When any of our products suddenly stops working, it hampers our daily routine and ends up terrible. we have to go through numerous problems but it’s not much difficult nowadays with a smart diagnosis which can early assess the current state of products hassle-free and it saves time and money. we don’t need customer service and a service engineer to visit our house because we already know the problem. Here LG provides a feature AUTO SMART CONNECT which serves the purpose and it’s very convenient for the user to use through its App LG ThinQ and become your own service engineer.
I had this mesmerising experience when my refrigerator suddenly started making funny sounds, I got scared that the service won’t happen in this lockdown and my summer will be ruined. But this feature made my LIFE GOOD.
Happy Hours
Kids playgrounds are supposed to be a hub for a child’s imagination, so the design must yield to creativity. Because a child loves to swing, run, climb & jump slides with smiles on their face and parents want that too. But at the same time, they are very much concerned about Child’s Safety. I came across many kids who slide having very small handrails and don’t serve the purpose of side barriers. These rides are made for small kids were tend to get imbalanced, so what if they topple on either side of a slide, they can get hurt. So adding a higher handrail that serves the purpose of a side barrier could make the design safer. It enhances the experience for the child & parents.
Hit-and-Miss
Let me tell you an interesting story that I experienced during the lockdown and word lockdown (COVID-19) which is severely impacting human life’s and dramatic loss of everything worldwide & present an unprecedented challenge to public health, the food system and the world of work. At that time I was facing the problem my father had COVID & we making an effort to do everything possible and good for him. Then suddenly he called and asked me to download Aarogaya Setu App. Everyone knows that it’s a tracking app that tracks the number of COVID-19 cases around you. But the funny thing was when I tried to see the number of patients around my locality within a kilometre, it showed Zero positive cases. But my father was COVID positive and he was just adjacent to my room.
Did it solve the purpose?
The true two-in-one
The mirror with shelves is everywhere & we have absolutely no complaints about it. Its intelligent design does not take up more area while keeping it high on utility. Suitable for small rooms ad narrow spaces. And they look incredible and who doesn’t want extra space it’s forever a nice addition to our place.
An effective kitchen tool
In recent time, the way graters have to create their use in the modern kitchen various vastly. I have seen my grandma use a grater that was not handy to use and was very different from what my mom is using now. They have proved to be a staple kitchen product in all houses and have greatly added to the overall efficiency. This single-handed design fits comfortably in hand for a splendid grating experience and allows for quick as efficient shredding. This design is versatile, easy cleaning and helps in keeping the shredded vegetables in one place without spreading. So with this grater in use shred with much more safety, speed and precision.
An uneasy container
Coca-Cola is in the headlines for the past few days & the reason is the world-famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. Let’s talk about aerated drinks cans design. In my experience, I don’t find the can design very much satisfactory to serves their purpose. We purchase cans for our convenience to open and drink but it fails for both things.
You can’t open it handily because every single time I have to use my finger to remove the small lid which is made up of tin and it hurts my finger every time and the leaking problem too. And on the other hand, it is easy to carry so what about a bottle that is also easy to carry, open and sip. Because for me design means keeping in mind the user comfort.
But this hasn’t achieved the goal it’s not a good USER EXPERIENCE.
Wings for mood swings!
I was 13 years old when I got my first period. I first heard about Period from my classmates but I was a little bit hesitant to ask my mom about it. One day while I was in my school attending my class, I felt something happening inside my body. When I came home and spoke to my mother about what happened, she sat me down & explained it to me, so yup you guessed it right Sanitary Pads. Sanitary pads are designed for ultimate ease & comfort. Especially the WING design & yes wings in the pad are the saviour & also it should go according to the curves. It's broader backwards and increased lengthwise makes our period stain-free and let live your life with confidence.
Hey, tea lovers!
When you feel stressed while working and you see a cup of tea you always feel delighted and that makes our whole day. While everyone is working from home tea becomes an energy booster for that lazy environment. You feel irritated when you want to filter the tea and it spills around just feel the situation when someone is eagerly waiting for their favourite food and delivery guys said I’m in traffic you have to wait for some more time that’s the same situation I used to face daily with this saucepan. I have to go through the cleaning process before sipping my cup of tea. This is such an awful design.
